BIOGRAPHY
Mr. Josef Belac (M.Sc. Nuclear Engineering, Czech Technical University, Faculty of Nuclear Science and Physical Engineering, Prague, Czech Republic) has 35 years of experience in various positions in nuclear fuel cycle engineering. Worked in three IAEA projects (FINAS, FUMEX-II, WWER-440 Local Power Peaking) He was four times lecturer in IAEA Regional Training Courses in Nuclear Fuel Safety and Safety of Nuclear Materials Transport (USA, Romania, Ukraine, Belorussia). He was member of three expert groups of OECD/NEA – SMAP, EGATFL and WGFS. He is a member of OECD/NEA FIDES framework Governing Board. He took part in Temelin NPP Fuel Development and Implementation Project of Westinghouse (1993-2000), TVEL TVSA-T fuel development and licensing (2007-2010). He has expertise in nuclear fuel manufacturing technology. He is a leader of Fuel cladding materials irradiation and material properties evaluation projects in ALVEL (Czech Republic) where he assumes position Chief Executive Director, since 2012.
