BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Mirco Grosse holds a master degree in materials sciences from the Technical University “Bergakademie Freiberg”. He has nearly 30 years of experience in nuclear materials research in particular in neutron embrittlement of reactor pressure vessel steels, in fatigue analysis of austenitic steels applying for pipes in cooling circuits, in the material behaviour during hypothetical severe accident of nuclear reactors, the high temperature interaction between gases and metals as well as in the hydrogen behaviour in zirconium alloys. He has published more than 120 papers in ICI referred journals cited more nearly 2000 times. He contributes to two text books: “Nuclear Corrosion – Science and Engineering” and “Neutron Scattering and Other Nuclear Techniques for Hydrogen in Materials”.
